A Simple Glue Caddy, Beautifully Done

Giaco Whatever is a relative newcomer to the YouTube woodworking scene, but he makes some nice looking videos.  In this one he is building a simple little caddy to hold all of his glue/epoxy/etc.  Not a fancy build, however it feels fancy with Giaco’s film making.

I also like the way that he lets us watch his thought process in the design phase. He uses a very direct method of laying the things out that he wants to store and marking out the space on a board.  Oftentimes we get caught up in overbuilding things, or over complicating things.  It’s an epidemic in the woodworking world.

One thing I found a little weird about this video that I feel compelled to warn you about is that in the beginning Giaco uses some kind of text-to-speech thing to dub the sound.  I’m not sure if it is an artsy thing, or if it’s because he doesn’t speak English well.  In any case, it only lasts about a 15 seconds so don’t let that turn you off too much.
