In case you haven’t heard, there’s a Pallet Up Cycle Challenge happening on YouTube. This challenge is presented by Sterling’s Woodcrafts and there is still time for you to enter.
Here’s how the challenge goes:
- Get a pallet
- Tear it apart
- Make something awesome out of it
- Video the process
- Submit the video to Sterling
- Win prizes (probably)
There are only a couple of rules:
- It has to be pallet wood
- Can be < or > 1 pallet
- Must consist of only pallet wood (no other woods)
- Can have hardware added
Here are the methods for submitting your video link to Sterling
The deadline for posting your video is August 31, so you can knock something out this weekend and still have time to enter. Get Busy!
There are a ton of sponsors providing prizes for the challenge including Kreg, Clear Vue Cyclones, MicroJig, Rockler, Inventables, Fast Cap and many more. See the videos for more info on the prizes.
One other aspect to the challenge is that Sterling has committed to donate $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project for every video that is submitted. Then, several other YouTube woodworkers stepped up to match Sterling’s donation. Great job, guys!
Finally, here’s the link you can use to check out your competition. It’s the playlist of all of the participants.
