Two Free Plans Are Better Than One

Two Free Plans

Today I’ve got not one, but two, free plans for you guys!  The first is a workbench with a portable tool chest and the second is a classic walnut bookcase.

Both of these free plans have been provided by Woodworkers Journal.  There is no sign-up required, you don’t have to enter your email address, or anything like that.  Just simply click the link and download the plan.  It really is that simple.

These free plans come complete with full materials list and cut list.

Workbench and Tool Chest

This is one of their Classic Plans, but sometimes the good stuff comes from the archives.  The heart and soul of the shop is the workbench and this one is steady as a rock, has a couple of vices and bench dogs, too.

Plans for the mobile tool storage that is designed to fit below the bench are also included here.  The nice bonus is you can just pull the cabinet out and have an extra work space for assembly or whatever.

These are quality plans with detailed instructions.  Click here or on the sample image below for the download.

Classic Walnut Bookcase

The bookcase is from the Woodworkers Journal Premium Plans.  And it is indeed premium.

This walnut bookcass is traditional – right down to its joinery.  But, the author added a twist or two that makes the whole thing easier to put together.

If you like these free plans, you should consider signing up for the Woodworker’s Journal E-Zine.  They send it out every couple of weeks and it always has free plans in it along with other great woodworking articles.  The E-Zine is free, too.
