Izzy Swan is becoming well known in YouTube-land for devising creative/crazy/weird/ridiculous jigs. All sorts of them. In his latest video he has succeeded once again.
This time he is showing us how to make a jig for the circular saw, and it is CRAZY! But what makes it so crazy is how simple it is.
If you’re like me, you have probably used a speed square or some other type of square to make straight cuts with a circular saw. And I’ll admit that as the video started I thought to myself, Why not just use a speed square? Then Izzy answered my question by showing how his jig makes it easy to line up your saw for accurate length cuts – something I have personally struggled with when using a circular saw (lining up the saw blade with my measurement mark).
The jig is so simple: 2 pieces of wood, 3 screws and a dab of glue. Check out the video to see how to put it together and how to use it.
P.S. Izzy can be pretty entertaining, too. Check out the rest of his videos and subscribe to his channel.
